    Recommended For Ages 6+

    Duration: 6 Hours
    6:30am - 12:30pm

A typical morning Maui bottom fishing trip aboard Strike Zone departs promptly at 6:30am from Maalaea Harbor, Maui, Slip #64. They return at 12:30pm. It typically takes about an hour to reach some of Maui's most productive fishing spots, and they may fish a few different locations on any given trip. Locations for that day are determined by what's been biting recently, as well as current weather conditions. As you make your way to a great bottom fishing location, the trolling lines are out! Your fishing adventure is on the hunt for big game trophy fish such as the legendary Pacific blue marlin. Averaging 200 pounds, any size of these fighters is a great catch. These beauties can be caught anytime of year in Hawaiian waters. You may even have a chance at the black marlin, much more elusive in our waters, but known to be caught a few times a year throughout the islands. Striped marlin often travel in pairs, maybe catch them both! Also angle for delicious tuna; yellowfin, bigeye and skipjack. The Strike Zone crew knows all the best fishing spots and frequently reel in some Hawaiian favorites such as mahi mahi (dolphin fish) and ono (wahoo). Learn More

Whether you’re a novice or experienced sportfishing enthusiast, you’ll discover that deep sea fishing off Maui Hawaii is unlike any other sportfishing experience you’ve ever had. Start Me Up! is one of the quickest boats in Lahaina Harbor, so you’ll spend more time being out there and less time getting out there. All fishing equipment is provided, so bring your sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, camera, and any “lucky charms” you may work with. Also, pack all your food and beverages for the day the night before (most stores aren’t open early on Maui). Ice, coolers, and a restroom are on the boat. Every day on the water is different with Start Me Up!, as the captain and crew follow the weather, the currents, and their own finely honed gut instincts to seek out the big ones. Unlike the rules on many other Maui sport fishing trips, on this tour you get to keep all the fish you catch. Once you have landed one, you have several options: tag and release it, ask the crew to filet it at the harbor, have it mounted later, or give it to the crew for themselves and their families.
