Kaanapali Activities

Kaanapali Hawaii Facts and Information:

kaanapali beach activity map with rental locations

Kaanapali Beach Resort began as an Amfac development in the 1960s, on mile-long Kaanapali Beach, on the western shore of Maui, a couple miles north of the old whaling town of Lahaina. Since that time, many more hotels and condos have been built both on Kaanapali Beach and for several miles up and down the coast, and Lahaina has turned into a tourist shopping Mecca, catering to visiting tourists and Cruise Ship passengers arriving at Lahaina Harbor.

Kaanapali Beach is known for it's beachfront dining options. Hula Grill, Leilani's on the Beach and several Resort restaurants along the beach walk provide live music and some of the best happy hour specials available. In front of the Sheraton is the famous Black Rock, one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. At sunset, a local tradition of sounding the Conch Shell and finalizing with a cliff dive can be seen from the beach.

Whether you are looking for a Teralani Sailing Catamaran from the beach, a UFO Parasail adventure, a Maui jet skiing experience, or a whale watch, molokini crater snorkeling cruise, or scuba diving venture, you'll find it on Kaanapali Beach.

Since activities tend to sell out in advance, It's important to confirm your reservations prior to arrival. We provide several options for you to confirm your reservations with the best possible rates available.

The learning curve is so unbelievably low that most people are flying around within the first minute and are comfortable with the controls in the first five minutes. So come on down and surf the skies with us at Pacific Jet Sports. The Flyboard attaches to a jet ski by way of a 60 foot hose giving the rider the potential to soar 45 feet in the air. There is always an instructor on the jet ski for safety and to give pointers to the rider. Riders will be taught how to surf through the sky and dive like a dolphin if they choose to do so. The rider can communicate with the instructor and go as high as they are comfortable with or stay five feet off of the water. Because the experience is so surreal, any height feels two to three times higher than you actually are. Learn More
